Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using HearBack. By creating an account or using our service you agree to be bound by them.

1. Who we are

HearBack is a product of Layerblocks Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. References to “we”, “us”, or “our” in these terms mean Layerblocks Ltd.

2. The service

HearBack provides a review management platform that helps businesses collect customer feedback, route reviews to Google, and analyse performance. The service is available at hearback.app and through related subdomains and APIs.

We offer free and paid subscription plans. The features available to you depend on the plan you are subscribed to. Plan details and pricing are published on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

3. Eligibility and account registration

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into a binding contract on behalf of yourself or the business you represent. By registering you warrant that this is the case.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to solicit, incentivise, or manufacture fake reviews
  • Use the service in any way that violates Google's review policies or any applicable law
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or reproduce any part of the platform without our written consent
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or any code of a destructive nature
  • Use the service to send unsolicited communications to third parties
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without our prior written consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, without prior notice where necessary to protect the platform or other users.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on the plan you select. All prices are in GBP unless otherwise stated and are inclusive of applicable VAT.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment details you authorise us to charge the applicable fees on each renewal date. We do not store your full card details — these are held securely by Stripe under PCI-DSS compliance.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued unless required by law. We reserve the right to change our pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

6. Free plan limits

Free plan accounts are subject to monthly usage limits as published on our pricing page. We reserve the right to adjust these limits with reasonable notice. Exceeding limits may result in temporary throttling of the service.

7. Your data and content

You retain ownership of all content you upload or create through the service, including your business branding, links, and customer feedback. By using the service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We do not sell your data to third parties. Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

All intellectual property in the HearBack platform — including software, design, trademarks, and content we create — belongs to Layerblocks Ltd or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you.

9. Third-party services

HearBack integrates with third-party services including Google (for review links and place data), Stripe (for payments), Resend (for email delivery), and Cloudflare (for infrastructure). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability or actions of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where such warranties cannot be excluded by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layerblocks Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim or (b) £100.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by English law.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we decide to discontinue the service (with reasonable notice in the latter case).

On termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days following termination to allow for any dispute resolution, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may close your account before the changes take effect.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you have a complaint, please contact us at [email protected] first and we will do our best to resolve it informally.
