Please read these terms carefully before using HearBack. By creating an account or using our service you agree to be bound by them.
HearBack is a product of Layerblocks Ltd (Company No. 16817944), a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. References to "we", "us", or "our" in these terms mean Layerblocks Ltd.
HearBack provides a review management platform that helps businesses collect customer feedback, route reviews to Google, and analyse performance. The service is available at hearback.app and through related subdomains and APIs.
We offer free and paid subscription plans. The features available to you depend on the plan you are subscribed to. Plan details and pricing are published on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into a binding contract on behalf of yourself or the business you represent. By registering you warrant that this is the case.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, without prior notice where necessary to protect the platform or other users.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on the plan you select. All prices are in GBP unless otherwise stated and are inclusive of applicable VAT.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment details you authorise us to charge the applicable fees on each renewal date. We do not store your full card details — these are held securely by Stripe under PCI-DSS compliance.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued unless required by law. We reserve the right to change our pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
Free plan accounts are subject to monthly usage limits as published on our pricing page. We reserve the right to adjust these limits with reasonable notice. Exceeding limits may result in temporary throttling of the service.
You retain ownership of all content you upload or create through the service, including your business branding, links, and customer feedback. By using the service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
We do not sell your data to third parties. Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
All intellectual property in the HearBack platform — including software, design, trademarks, and content we create — belongs to Layerblocks Ltd or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you.
HearBack integrates with the following third-party services:
Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability or actions of third-party services.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where such warranties cannot be excluded by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layerblocks Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim or (b) £100.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by English law.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we decide to discontinue the service (with reasonable notice in the latter case).
On termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days following termination to allow for any dispute resolution, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Some plans allow you to send review-request SMS messages to your customers. These messages are sent from a dedicated SMS sender or number registered to your business, under your own brand and messaging use case — not from HearBack's own number (see section 14). Where you use this feature, the following terms apply in addition to the rest of these terms.
Registration on your behalf. To enable SMS, you ask us to register a sender or number with our SMS provider (ClickSend) on your behalf, using the business details, website, messaging use case, and consent information you supply. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of that information. Registration outcomes and timelines are determined by the SMS provider and the mobile carriers, and we cannot guarantee approval.
You are the sender of record. Messages are sent under your business's name and brand. You are the sender of record for these messages and remain responsible for their content and for compliance with applicable messaging law in your customers' jurisdictions.
Consent. You represent and warrant that, before submitting any end-customer mobile phone number to HearBack, you have obtained explicit, prior, and verifiable consent from that customer to receive a review-request SMS message from your business.
Consent language. You agree to use the consent disclosure language we provide (as published at hearback.app/consent) or substantively equivalent language that satisfies the US TCPA, CTIA guidelines, the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the Australian Spam Act 2003, and any other applicable local requirements for the markets you message into.
Proof of consent. You agree to retain proof of consent for each customer for a minimum of four (4) years and to provide such proof to us within five (5) business days of our request.
Opt-outs. You are responsible for honouring opt-out requests communicated directly to you and for promptly informing us of any such opt-outs. You agree to honour STOP and HELP keywords processed by HearBack and not to attempt to re-add a number that has previously opted out without a fresh, documented consent event.
Permitted content. You agree not to use HearBack's SMS feature to send messages containing or relating to: sexual or adult content, hate speech, alcohol, firearms, tobacco, cannabis, vapes, fireworks, drugs, high-risk financial services, loans, debt collection, debt forgiveness, gambling, lottery, sweepstakes, get-rich-quick schemes, cryptocurrency, political content (unless separately registered), or any other content prohibited by applicable carrier policy. HearBack's SMS feature is for transactional review requests only and may not be used for marketing or promotional messaging without our prior written approval and appropriate sender registration.
Our role. We act as your service provider in facilitating registration and delivering these messages on your behalf via our SMS provider. We are not the sender of these messages and do not control their content beyond the templates and tools we make available.
Indemnity. You indemnify us against any claims, fines, or penalties arising from your failure to obtain or retain compliant consent, or from your use of the SMS feature in breach of these terms.
Separately from section 13, HearBack may send SMS messages to you (the account holder) from HearBack's own registered number. These messages are used solely for account security and service notifications — this number is never used to send messages on behalf of business customers.
By opting in, you agree to receive text messages from HearBack at the number you provide.
We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may close your account before the changes take effect.
Some plans allow you to connect your Intuit QuickBooks Online account to HearBack to trigger review requests based on activity in your account, such as paid invoices. Where you use this feature, the following terms apply in addition to the rest of these terms.
You represent and warrant that you are an authorised user of the QuickBooks account you connect, and that you have the right to grant HearBack access to the data within that account.
By connecting your QuickBooks account, you authorise HearBack to access, on your behalf, the data necessary to provide the integration — including customer contact details (name, email, phone number), invoice and transaction events, and company profile information. We access only the data needed to deliver the service. We do not write to, modify, or delete data in your QuickBooks account unless you explicitly enable a feature that does so.
You may disconnect the integration at any time from your HearBack settings or from within your Intuit account management dashboard. On disconnection, HearBack will stop accessing your QuickBooks data and will delete cached QuickBooks-sourced data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your use of QuickBooks Online is subject to Intuit's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behaviour of the QuickBooks platform, nor for any fees Intuit may charge against your QuickBooks subscription. Data displayed in HearBack via the QuickBooks integration is for review-management purposes only and should not be relied on for accounting, tax, or financial decisions.
You agree to comply with Intuit's acceptable use policies when using the integration and not to use HearBack to bypass any limits or controls set by Intuit on your QuickBooks account.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you have a complaint, please contact us at [email protected] first and we will do our best to resolve it informally.
